The calendar for 2026 just dropped, and Universal Orlando Resort is clearly choosing chaos in the best possible way. From January through the following New Year’s celebration, the destination is stacking seasonal events, limited-time experiences, and fan-favorite festivals across the parks, hotels, and CityWalk.
This is not a “pick one weekend” situation. This is a “clear your PTO and negotiate with your boss” situation.
Theme Park Experiences & Seasonal Events
Universal’s 2026 slate hits every season hard, starting right out of the gate.
Rock the Universe returns January 23–24, bringing Florida’s biggest Christian music festival back to Universal Studios Florida for a weekend of powerful performances and park thrills.

From February 7 through April 4, Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval takes over with vibrant floats, bead-tossing chaos, live concerts on select nights, and a global food lineup that somehow gets better every year.

Late summer into fall belongs to Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights, which celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2026. Running select nights from August 28 through November 1, the world’s premier Halloween event promises new haunted houses, scare zones, shows, themed food, and a whole lot of lost sleep. Details are coming later, but expectations are already sky-high.
The year wraps in tinsel and spectacle with Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort, running November 14 through January 3, 2027. Guests can expect the return of Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Grinchmas, Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, destination-wide décor across all 11 hotels, seasonal food, exclusive merchandise, and New Year’s Eve celebrations at the parks and CityWalk.
Universal also confirmed more returning favorites, including Volcano Bay Nights, giving guests after-dark access to the water park. Dates will be announced later.
Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Limited-Time Offerings
2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the first Harry Potter film, and Universal is leaning all the way in.
From March 1 through May 31, Butterbeer Season brings limited-edition treats, themed merchandise, and new ways to celebrate the wizarding world’s most famous beverage.
Back to Hogwarts runs August 1 through September 1, celebrating the traditional return-to-school period from the Harry Potter stories.
Later in the fall, Dark Arts returns to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle lighting up Hogsmeade and Death Eaters roaming Diagon Alley. Exact dates will be announced closer to fall.
Passholder Appreciation Days
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders get their own spotlight during Passholder Appreciation Days, running August 15 through September 30. Expect exclusive perks, discounts, food offerings, merchandise, and surprises across the parks, hotels, and CityWalk. Universal will roll out details throughout the year.
