📍 MIAMI, July 10, 2025 — A new chapter in ultra-premium cruising has officially begun. Oceania Cruises®, renowned for offering The Finest Cuisine at Sea® and immersive destination experiences, has taken delivery of its eighth luxurious ship — Oceania Allura™. Built at the acclaimed Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy, this 1,200-guest boutique vessel is the second in the Allura Class and brings with it an elevated standard for culinary excellence, personalized service, and immersive travel.
A Vision of Luxury and Innovation
Chief Luxury Officer Jason Montague proudly describes Oceania Allura as the line’s “most innovative and luxurious ship to date,” representing a bold step forward in the evolution of the brand. At 804 feet and more than 68,000 gross tons, Allura boasts the most spacious standard staterooms at sea (290+ sq ft), a remarkable guest-to-staff ratio (two staff for every three guests), and a culinary team with one chef for every eight guests — a true testament to Oceania’s food-first philosophy.
Next-Level Dining at Sea
Food lovers, rejoice. Oceania Allura introduces an exciting range of new and upgraded dining experiences:
- The Crêperie (a fleet first) delivers French crêpes, Belgian and bubble waffles, and indulgent Italian sundaes.
- Jacques, the beloved French bistro named for legendary chef Jacques Pépin, returns with refined classics like duck à l’orange and tableside beef tartare.
- Red Ginger now features Japanese-Peruvian fusion (Nikkei) dishes, including tuna ceviche, short ribs with lomo saltado, and bao bun crab tempura.
- The Grand Dining Room debuts over 270 new recipes, with 30+ new breakfast items — including an entire menu section dedicated to eggs Benedict variations.
And it’s not just about the meals. The new Gerard Bertrand Wine Pairing Luncheon offers a refined tasting journey through the famed French winemaker’s portfolio, expertly paired with curated dishes by Oceania’s master chefs.
Beyond the Plate: Enrichment and Exploration
Guests aboard Oceania Allura can look forward to a wealth of experiences beyond culinary delights:
- The Library, now located on Deck 14 near Horizons Lounge, offers sea views and a warm, residential-style design — perfect for quiet reading and reflection.
- LYNC Digital Center, just steps away, is powered by Starlink® WiFi and hosts complimentary digital storytelling classes, including smartphone photography and video editing, led by expert Digital Concierges.
A Maiden Season Spanning the Globe
Beginning July 18, 2025, Oceania Allura will sail her maiden voyage from Trieste, Italy to Athens, Greece. Her inaugural season features 26 voyages touching 92 destinations across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and North America’s East Coast. And in a unique tribute to its culinary roots, Allura will be officially christened by a group of Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs alumni during a glittering ceremony in Miami in November 2025.
Looking to the Horizon: Four New Sonata Class Ships
At the Genoa delivery ceremony, Oceania Cruises confirmed it will expand even further with the addition of two more Sonata Class ships, bringing the total to four. Oceania Sonata™ is expected in 2027, followed by Oceania Arietta™ in 2029, with two unnamed sister ships now confirmed for delivery in 2032 and 2035. Each Sonata Class vessel will accommodate approximately 1,390 guests and continue the tradition of small-ship sophistication and innovation.
With Oceania Allura, the future of boutique luxury cruising has never looked brighter. Whether you sail for the cuisine, the destinations, or the service, this elegant new vessel is poised to exceed expectations at every turn.
