The fog is rolling in early this year as Universal Orlando kicked off haunt season hype with a reveal at Spooky Empire 2025: the first original haunted house coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2025 is El Artista – A Spanish Haunting.
Unveiled during the resort’s panel at the fan-favorite horror convention in Orlando, El Artista promises a chilling dive into supernatural folklore rooted in Spanish legend and artistic madness. The house follows a tormented painter whose descent into darkness becomes a living nightmare—where the line between inspiration and possession is gruesomely blurred.
A Cultural Nightmare Brought to Life
What sets El Artista apart is its deep connection to Spanish culture and myth. This original house blends gothic aesthetics with haunted realism, inspired by centuries-old ghost stories and sinister superstitions. Guests will venture through the twisted mind of an artist whose cursed works become gateways to spirits, demons, and the damned.
Expect intricate set design dripping with Old World charm, eerie church corridors, flickering candles, and haunted canvases that seem to breathe. Universal’s Creative team teased that this house would “combine the elegance of European horror with the brutality fans expect from HHN.”
