There’s a new howl in the woods of Virginia—and it’s a big one.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is unleashing its newest family thrill ride, The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge, just in time for its 50th anniversary celebration! This epic new attraction officially opens to the public on May 23, but Members get to sink their claws in early starting May 16.
This isn’t just another coaster—The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge is North America’s longest family inverted coaster, blending a high-energy ride with immersive theming that Busch Gardens is known for. Riders will be swept into a Bavarian village celebration turned nightmare as glowing red eyes pierce the darkness and the legendary Big Bad Wolf makes his return. With speeds up to 40 mph and more than 2,500 feet of track, this is a family-friendly thrill with some real bite.
And yes, it’s accessible too—with a height requirement of just 42 inches (with a supervising companion), it’s a coaster that kids and parents can enjoy together.
50 Years of Thrills
The debut of The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge is just one part of Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, which kicks off May 16. Here’s what’s in store:
- A special lookback presentation led by Park President Kevin Lembke at the Globe Theatre, diving into 50 years of park history.
- A rocking 1970s cover band, perfect for dancing the night away.
