Busch Gardens Tampa Bay announced a partnership with Toma bringing their empanadas to this year’s Howl-O-Scream event.
This partnership will give guests the opportunity to enjoy these unique empanadas. Toma’s empanadas come with a reputation for spicy flavor. In an interesting scary twist, these empanadas will only be available for a limited time during the Howl-O-Scream event at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Toma was created to share the best of Latin cuisine with the world. It began with Sofia Vergara’s love for Latin food and her son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara’s passion for cooking. Together with well-respected hospitality executive Sam Nazarian they established Toma. This will be the first time this product has entered the Tampa market.
“I can’t wait for Toma to be available at Busch Gardens. It’s maybe even more exciting than their roller coasters! Toma is the perfect food for theme parks because it’s handheld, can be eaten quickly and is delicious – the perfect combination,” says Manolo Gonzalez Vergara.

On the Toma menu at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Howl-O-Scream:
The Toma food and beverage booth, during Howl-O-Scream, will be located next to the Xcursions Gift Shop near Iron Gwazi. The items on the menu will be:
- Four Choices of Empanada
- Chicken in Salsa Verde Empanada
- Cheese Empanada
- Beef Empanada
- Ham and Cheese Empanada
- Two Specialty Cocktails
- Guava Margarita – Tequila, guava syrup and margarita mix
- Colombian Paloma – Aguardiente, white wine, strawberry syrup and grapefruit soda
Howl-O-Scream Dates and Tickets
Howl-O-Scream is a separately ticketed event, taking place on select nights Sept. 6 through Nov. 2. Howl-O-Scream is spooky scary event so parental discretion is strongly advised. Howl-O-Scream contains graphic and mature content that may not be suitable for children. These Toma empanadas are only available during the Howl-O-Scream event. This new addition to the food line-up at Howl-O-Scream should be expected to become one of the best food items.
