Aquatica Orlando announced the grand opening of Tassie’s Underwater Twist, a digital immersive waterslide that allows guests to experience an enchanting underwater world.
Tassie’s Underwater Twist will open on March 15, 2024. For many guests, this opening date provides one more thing to try during the spring break season.
Tassie’s Underwater Twist brings a new feature to the world of waterslides. While riding this attraction, guests will experience themed transportation to Australia’s Shark Bay. During this waterslide experience, guests will glide through a vibrant digital underwater world set in luscious seagrass meadows brimming with marine life. Guests will also encounter species like manta rays, humpback whales, colorful schools of fish, various plant life, sea turtles, and even the occasional shark. This happens while guests twist, turn, and swirl through a unique Super Bowl element.

Tassie’s Underwater Twist will be set to an orchestral score. This 129-foot-long water slide promises to evoke a sense of wonder and adventure in every rider, according to Aquatica Orlando. Manufactured by WhiteWater West Industries, Tassie’s Underwater Twist will also feature a synchronized video display, allowing guests to become part of the enchanting underwater world.
Guests will experience the attraction in a two-person innertube, which allows them to experience the thrill with a friend. Visual components along the ride’s path will highlight the importance of seagrass meadows, encouraging visitors to learn more about them and the marine life that depends on them.
