Just as summer is heating up, Chef Juan Morales, of Agua Caliente Casino – Rancho Mirage, has added two refreshing plant-based dishes to the menu at the Waters Café. These feature La Brea Bakery’s re-imagined plant-based brioche bun. The dishes include a Pulled Jackfruit BBQ Sandwich and a Grilled Portobello Caprese Sandwich.
“As a chef, it’s my responsibility to take care of all our guests, which is why I was so excited to create two vegan options for Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage made with a unique plant-based brioche bun by La Brea Bakery,” said executive chef Juan Morales. “These are made with love. Both of our vegan sandwiches produce very complex flavor profiles. Our jackfruit sandwich is smoky with the same consistency as pulled pork. Layer on the barbecue sauce, all the fixings and the La Brea Bakery brioche bun, and it produces a rich flavor with perfect textures. This is not your grandfather’s vegan cooking!”
