Silver Dollar City likes to make big announcements. This one involves Silver Dollar City being number one.

Silver Dollar City, near Branson, Mo, boasts an 1880s-style theme park nestled in the Ozark Mountains. Silver Dollar City features 40 rides & attractions, a demonstrating crafts colony 100 artisans strong, and hosts 10 world-class festivals/special events. This home to several roller coasters with record-setting footprints, and home-style foods creates high demand emphasis on specialty items and famous cinnamon bread.

This season, Silver Dollar City embraces the final season of Fire in the Hole. Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. Will close Fire in the Hole this year. This coaster, which opened in 1972, will permanently close when the park concludes its 2023 season. The park has already said that new exciting things are coming, though.

Earlier this week, Silver Dollar City teased a big announcement coming on May 5. They stated that a Facebook Live would happen in honor of this announcement.
The most common speculation revolved around Silver Dollar City winning the USA Today 10Best “Best Theme Park” vote. Since the announcement of that winner was scheduled to happen at the same time as the Silver Dollar City announcement, this looked obvious.
As expected, Silver Dollar City won the USA Today 10Best reader’s vote for best theme park. Since theme parks like Silver Dollar City, SeaWorld, and Busch Gardens lobby for these votes each year, one of them winning should not be a surprise.

Also, during the Facebook Live video, Silver Dollar City announced that they would have an appreciation ticket sale in honor of winning. One-day tickets purchased by May 10 will cost only $49. According to the Facebook Live video, those special tickets will be valid any day in May, including Memorial Day.
