Fun Spot America Atlanta on a weekday during the off-season is a strange and wonderful thing. The park feels like it’s running at 10% capacity, the midway is quiet, and you’re never more than one step away from realizing you basically have the place to yourself.
On Friday, October 24, Elena and I met up with Dave and Kris from Adventures By D to spend the day at Fun Spot Atlanta. Even though only four attractions were operating, we went in with a clear mission: ride ArieForce One again… and again… and again.
ArieForce One is an RMC masterpiece with the kind of pacing that begs for repeated laps. With no lines whatsoever, we got to marathon the coaster in a way that simply isn’t possible on busier days. Between rides, we jumped onto the go-karts and even played a round of laser tag — both also delightfully empty.
The real question, of course, is whether the $30 ticket ($25 for Veterans) is worth it when so few attractions are open. For us, the answer was yes. If you’re going for ArieForce One specifically, the off-season weekday experience is arguably the best way to enjoy it. Unlimited rides with minimal wait time more than justified the price.
It was a relaxed, easygoing visit filled with great rides and good company. If you’ve ever wondered what Fun Spot Atlanta feels like without the crowds, this vlog gives you the full experience.
