Universal Orlando Resort has proven once again why it’s one of the premier destinations for theme park fans worldwide. At the 2025 Amusement Today Golden Ticket Awards, the resort walked away with five major honors, cementing its reputation for groundbreaking attractions, immersive environments, and unforgettable experiences.
The biggest news? Universal Volcano Bay was named Best Water Park, making history as the first new winner in this category in 26 years. This recognition underscores the park’s unique blend of relaxation and thrills, all centered around its iconic 200-foot Krakatau volcano.
The spotlight also shone brightly on Universal Epic Universe, the resort’s newest theme park, which dominated with four awards:
- Best New Coaster: Stardust Racers – A dual-launch racing coaster where guests rocket at speeds up to 62 mph, weaving and crisscrossing in a dazzling outer-space race.
- Best Dark Ride: Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment – A heart-pounding adventure through Frankenstein Manor, featuring lifelike animatronics and cutting-edge ride tech.
- Best New Theme Concept: Darkmoor (Dark Universe) – A chilling, fully immersive land that reimagines Universal’s classic monsters in the modern age.
- Best New Attraction Installation: Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry – Universal’s most ambitious ride yet, taking guests into the Ministry of Magic with omni-directional lifts and an epic showdown against Dolores Umbridge.
