SeaWorld Orlando is holding the yearly behind-the-scenes “Inside Look” event on two weekends in January.

SeaWorld Orlando will hold its annual “Inside Look” program on the weekends of January 11-12 and January 18-19. This event is included with theme park admission.
This special event allows guests to venture behind the scenes to see the animal habitats, including beluga whales, dolphins, harbor seals, and California sea lions. “Inside Look” enables guests to meet SeaWorld Rescue & Dive team members during exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities at the Rescue Center.

“SeaWorld Orlando’s Inside Look event is a powerful opportunity for guests to connect with the incredible work happening behind the scenes,” said Dr. Joseph Gaspard, vice president of Zoological Operations at SeaWorld Orlando. “Through this immersive experience, we aim to inspire curiosity, foster a deeper understanding of animal care and conservation and empower the next generation to play an active role in protecting marine life and our planet’s ecosystems.”

Based on the popularity of the “Inside Look” event, SeaWorld encourages guests to arrive early for presentations. These special events at SeaWorld Orlando for “First Look” include:

- Inside Flamingo Encounter: This new backstage experience invites guests into the vibrant world of Caribbean flamingos. Led by SeaWorld’s expert aviculturists, visitors will learn fascinating insights about these iconic birds, from their unique behaviors to daily care routines. Guests will observe feeding techniques, discover how flamingos maintain their brilliant pink coloring, and gain a deeper understanding of the conservation efforts that support these remarkable animals.
- Inside Marine Mammal Care + Dolphin Nursery: Guests go behind the scenes to discover how SeaWorld’s animal care specialists prepare meals for a pod of dolphins and care for them throughout the day. The experience includes visiting the fish house, where food is carefully prepared, followed by a poolside demonstration at Dolphin Nursery. Visitors will learn about the techniques used to ensure the health and wellness of dolphins, sea lions, and whales and the role of learned behaviors in routine wellness checks.
- Inside the SeaWorld Rescue Center: Guests visit the home base of the SeaWorld Rescue Team to meet and hear from the dedicated filtration experts, animal care specialists, veterinarians, and lab technicians. They can also learn more about SeaWorld’s Rescue Center, which has the capacity to care for hundreds of animals. SeaWorld’s Rescue Teams have aided over 41,000 sick, injured, and orphaned animals, giving them a second chance at life.
- Inside Aquarium Experiences: Guests enjoy an exclusive glimpse at two of SeaWorld Orlando’s most popular aquariums, Shark Encounter and Manta Aquarium. They will learn what goes into keeping SeaWorld’s animals healthy and how animal care experts maintain animal habitats that closely mirror wild environments.
- Inside Pacific Point Preserve: Guests take a behind-the-scenes look at the home of SeaWorld Orlando’s California sea lions and harbor seals. They can also hear stories and gain insights from the animal care specialists who care for them daily.
- Inside Wild Arctic: Participants step behind the scenes into the maze of back hallways that provide service access to the beluga whales, walruses, and harbor seals that call Wild Arctic home. Guests will also meet the animal care specialists caring for these incredible animals.
- Inside Coral Rescue: Discover a safe and stable home for rescued coral colonies. Observe and interact with coral biologists as they care for “at-risk” Florida corals, raising awareness about conservation and ocean health. Expert biologists discuss optimal conditions for coral growth and care while raising awareness about conservation and ocean health.
- Seal of Fortune: This trivia show happens at the Nautilus Theater. This interactive show pits professional zoological specialists against SeaWorld’s famous Longshoremen
- Family Activity Zone: The Family Activity Zone returns to “Inside Look.”
- Presentations & Animal Care Specialist Talks: Guests can participate in special presentations and zoological specialist talks at select times throughout the day.
- Rescue Center Dive Talk: At this event, guests meet members of the SeaWorld Rescue and Dive Teams during exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities at the Rescue Center. Guests will hear firsthand stories of how it feels to rescue and return animals in need from the Rescue Team, learn the basics of diving, and discover some little-known secrets of what it takes to be a part of the dive team.
- Sea Lion & Dolphin Trainer Talk: Before each Dolphin Adventure and Sea Lion & Otter Spotlight presentations, guests can learn from SeaWorld’s world-class trainers and animal care specialists what it takes to care for, train, and build relationships with the animals at SeaWorld.
