Disney’s Pop Century Resort’s food court, Everything Pop, reopened for walk-up and sit-down dining. We tried the new Porchetta Burger.

Everything Pop food court has been under refurbishment for many weeks. Guests needed to mobile order and then pick up their food and beverages. On October 1, that changed. Everything Pop reopened (mostly) for guests to order at the food court counters and sit inside enjoying their meals.

The food court still needs all its seating back. Guests need to enter from an exterior door on the poolside of the resort. Not all food counters are open. Still, we found Everything Pop running well, and cast members were excited to be back to mostly normal business.

We noticed a new menu item during our visit: the Porchetta Burger. We confirmed that this was a new item, so of course, we ordered it. It costs $13.99 with fries. The menu description reads, “Beef Burger topped with Porchetta-style Pork, Fried Egg, Herb Dressing, and Pork Crackling.”
How was the Porchetta Burger at Everything Pop?

In basic terms, what this lacked in terms of presentation, it makes up for in creativity for a theme park resort food court burger. As we attempted to eat this burger, we knew it would be challenging. The messy factor ranks high with this one. We suggest plenty of napkins. The components of the herb dressing and the crackling make this burger creative and low on the presentation scale.
In fairness, this burger is new and complicated for a food court burger. Some cast members were confused about how to make it. I had seen people go past me with it earlier. That may have led to the average presentation and messy level.

The star of this burger is the porchetta-style pork. I would not define this as porchetta, but the pork flavor was there. Also, the portion size of the pork was more than expected for a food court burger. We would have liked a more robust flavor with the pork. However, this is a quick service burger with pork for $14. So it’s hard to be critical of that. The herb dressing compliments the pork.
On the other hand, the bun failed this creative burger. It failed to withstand the toppings on the standard Disney burger patty. Also, the crackling became soggy due to the dressing, lowering the dining experience.

This quickly became a fork-and-knife burger. That allowed the toppings to shine with this burger. We found the overall portion size, based on the toppings, to be good. With the limited burger options at Everything Pop, we would select this burger over the bacon cheeseburger options. It is way ahead of the Korean Impossible Burger, which we had tasted many times.
The burger comes with a reasonable-sized side of fries. Still, they are standard Disney fries. Guests should expect regular shoestring fries. They will be fine, but nothing special.
Dining Experience at Everything Pop

Though we would prefer to sit inside when eating at a food court, we ate outdoors in the shade. All the indoor seating was taken, and guests should expect that until the refurbishment is completed. Still, we enjoyed having this food court back, which was mostly operational. Disney’s Pop Century Resort makes an excellent option for guests looking for a “value” level hotel along Disney’s Skyliner route. For guests staying here, Everything Pop makes a solid food court option. We expect the food court to return to regular operation in November.
We were not impressed with the Porchetta Burger. However, we love the addition of a non-traditional burger to a Walt Disney World hotel food court. As stated, we would pick this burger over the other options at Everything Pop. Nevertheless, guests should not forget about the other entrees here, like Citrus-Basil Salmon, Sesame Chicken, and the pizza options. This food court offers enough options for most guests. They can dine here more than once during their Walt Disney World vacation.
For the theme park “foodies,” do not forget about Toma Empanadas being sold at Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream this year. As always, eat like you mean it!
